- The Red Foxes fought hard but fell late to Duke 64-56.
- Red-shirt junior Alana Gilmer led the way with 25 points on 9-21 shooting from the field and 2-3 from three.
- Junior Rebekah Hand added 15, shooting 6-16 from the field and 3-10 from three.
- Allie Best contributed a season-high nine points off the bench, all of her points coming from behind the arc.
- Red-shirt junior Grace Vander Weide led the team with seven assists and tied Gilmer for the lead in rebounds with six.
- UAlbany is 1-8 on the season. They are coming off of a 60-53 loss to Central Connecticut State on Wednesday evening.
- Kyara Frames led the way with 13 points, followed by Alexi Schecter with 12.
- Heather Forster led the team with 10 rebounds, and tied Frames for the lead in assists with four.
- 32 of their points came from in the paint, and just 11 points came off the bench.                      Â
Alana Gilmer picked up this week's MAAC Player of the Week Award after two monstrous games in North Carolina. At Elon, the forward posted 27 points, and at Duke, she put up 25 while grabbing six boards. Between the two games, she shot 19-38 (.500) from the field, 3-5 (.600) from three, and 13-17 (.765) from the charity stripe.                Â
The Red Foxes will end the long road stretch at Princeton University on Saturday, December 15th. Tip is set for 5 P.M.
