POUGHKEEPSIE NY- The Marist Women's Lacrosse team will host Vermont for its first home match up of the 2018 season on Saturday afternoon at Tenney Stadium. Faceoff is scheduled for 1 pm.
LAST OUTING
The Red foxes picked up a 14-11 victory over the Army Black Nights. The game was back and forth until the Red Foxes went on a 5-0 run in the second half to give them the victory.
Samantha Mehalick led the Red Foxes with six goals.
Lauren Mazza finished the game with hatrick.
Delaney Galvin earned her first career start and recorded 14 saves and a .560 save percentage.
SCOUTING VERMONT
The Vermont Catamounts enters the game with a 1-1 record on the season with a victory over St Bonaventure and Loss to Colgate. UVM is picked to finished fifth in the American East Conference. The Catamounts return two of their top scorers Jenna Janes who led UVM with 45 points on 31 goals and 17 assists and Elena McWright who scored 19 goals. The Red Foxes have a 4-6 record against Vermont but have won the last three match ups.

Marist defeated the Catamounts 13-9 in 2017 at Burlington, VT.
