Box Score HAMILTON, New York – The Marist men's tennis team picked up a road win over the Colgate Raiders, 4-3, Sunday afternoon in non-conference action. With the win, the Red Foxes improve to 2-0 in dual matches so far this spring season.
 
The Red Foxes opened the day earning the doubles point by winning the second and third position. Colgate won the first doubles spot, but Marist came back to win second and third. Javier Restrepo and Christopher Gladden teamed up to defat Scott Bickel and Noah Rosenblat, 7-5 while Jan Dernic and Paulo Siracusa downed Peter Hartman and Kun Tan, 6-4.
 
Marist dropped the first and second singles spots, but came back to win third, fourth, and fifth. Christopher Gladden clinched the overall match win from the fifth singles spot with a victory over Peter Hartman, 7-5, 7-6 (4). Lars Schouten and Gianlucca Massa also won their singles matches in straight sets.

"Excellent college match that really could've gone either way," said head coach Tim Smith."I was very pleased with the middle of our lineup, having won three, four, and five in straight sets which proved to be the difference in the match. The weekend after next will be a very good test when we play three tough teams at Yale."

The Red Foxes will return to action on Saturday, March 10^th when they take on Yale NJIT, and Fairfield in New Haven, Connecticut.
