POUGHKEEPSIE, NY - The Marist women's lacrosse team will hit the road for a matchup against the La Salle Explorers at McCarthy Stadium. Faceoff is Saturday at 4:00 pm.
 
LAST OUTING
Marist fell at home to #24 ranked UMass 19-10. The Minutewomen were in control from the opening faceoff, and scored the first six goals before Morgan Jaycox got the Red Foxes on the board. Several Red Foxes had standout performances days. Senior attacker Lauren Mazza scored four goals, while junior midfielder Hailey Wagner added two more. Freshman goalie Delaney Galvin played the best game of her young career, making 18 saves.
 
SCOUTING LA SALLE
The Explorers come into this game with a 1-2 record, coming off of an 18-6 thrashing of Central Michigan. La Salle has a good mix of veteran leadership and underclass talent. Star freshman midfielder Bridget Ruskey leads the team with 10 goals, and is second on the team in points with 11. She trails only senior captain Brittany Edwards. Marist is 0-2 against La Salle all-time.

Players to Watch
Lauren Mazza and Samantha Mehalick lead the Marist offense, scoring ten and nine goals respectively on the season. The two will need to be at their best to take on a La Salle team that ranks 28^th in the country in scoring defense.
