Men's Tennis Faces No. 27 Harvard Saturday Afternoon

Red Foxes Will Face Ranked Opponent In Weekend Road Match

POUGHKEESPIE, NY- The Marist men's tennis team travels to face No. 27 Harvard Saturday afternoon at 4 p.m. in more non-conference action for the Foxes. The match will be carried on the Ivy League Network for a subscription fee.
 
LAST MATCH:
The Red Foxes fell to NJIT 4-3 last Sunday in a thrilling match. Marist won two out of the three doubles matches to clinch a hard fought doubles point, while NJIT won four out of the six singles matches to clinch victory. Christopher Gladden won his singles match from the third position to tie the match, but Max Darrington lost his match from the fifth position in a three-set marathon to end the overall match.
 
SCOUTING HARVARD
Harvard last put up a 2-1 record at the San Diego Spring Classic last weekend. The Crimson defeated San Diego State, 5-1, and No. 37 Texas Tech, 4-2, but eventually fell to No. 24 Memphis, 4-2. This will be the Red Foxes' first dual match of the year against a ranked opponent. Harvard was ranked No. 27 in the Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) poll released on March 20.
 
UP NEXT:
The Red Foxes will have a week off before starting their home campaign on Monday, April 2nd against Hofstra at 1 p.m. at the Tennis Pavilion.
