Women's Lacrosse Opens MAAC Play at Home

The Red Foxes Look to Start MAAC Play with a win

POUGHKEEPSIE, New York – Women's lacrosse opens up MAAC conference play Saturday March 31st at 3:00 pm against Monmouth at Tenney Stadium.
 
Last Outing
Marist dropped a tough loss to Yale 13-12. The Red Foxes led 9-4 going into the half but the Bulldogs came back and took the lead with less than three minutes left in the game. Hailey Wagner broke the school's career draw control record during the second half of the game.
 
Scouting Monmouth
Monmouth is 3-7 on the season but 2-1 over the last three games including a win over Quinnipiac March 24th. Seven different Hawks found the back of the goal against Quinnipiac with Alexa Smith scoring four goals. Goalie Riley Brager made nine saves with six of them coming in the second half. Nicole Ceraso leads the team with 35 points. The Red Foxes are 2-5 against Monmouth.
 
Last Meeting
Marist dropped its MAAC opener against Monmouth last season 13-10. The Hawks took a 8-5 lead in the first half and the Red Foxes were unable to come back from it. Lauren Mazza led the scoring drive with a hat trick.
 
Up Next
The Red Foxes will stay at home for a midweek match-up against Manhattan Wednesday April 4th at 4:00 pm.
