Men's Lacrosse Falls to Nationally Ranked Georgetown

The Red Foxes Struggled to Stop the Hoyas

WASHINGTON D.C – Marist men's lacrosse fell to 16/18 ranked Georgetown 13-6 Tuesday afternoon at Cooper Field.
 
Summary
The Hoyas got on the board first, scoring 70 seconds into gametime. Joe Tierney tied the game up 1-1, coming in from the left side to score. The hot handed Hoyas scored five unanswered points to take a 6-1 lead with 13:55 left in the second quarter. David Moyett got a good feed from Gannon Morrison to cut the deficit to 6-2, but the Hoyas would add two more scores before the end of the half.
 
Georgetown continued playing aggressively, outscoring Marist 5-1 in the third quarter to take a 13-3 lead into the final quarter. The Red Foxes did not give up, finding the back of the net three more times in the fourth quarter to trim the Hoya's lead. The deficit proved to be too much to come back from and the Red Foxes fell 13-6.
