Last Outing
Marist defeated MAAC rival Manhattan 19-3 on Wednesday afternoon to improve their record to 6-4 overall and 2-0 in MAAC play. The offense was dominant, led by senior
Lauren Mazza with five goals. Freshman
Camille Renaud and sophomore
Samantha Mehalick both added four. Senior
Morgan Jaycox had a monster game finishing with two goals and a career high seven assists. This matches a single game assist record set by Allison Gionta against Manhattan in 2016. Jaycox also moves into eighth place in the record book for season assists with 23 on the season. Junior
Hailey Wagner had 14 draw controls, two shy of her season high. The Red Foxes were perfect on free position shots, going 3-for-3. Eight different players found the back of the net for Marist, and all players saw action.

Scouting Quinnipiac
The Bobcats are 5-6 overall and 1-2 in MAAC matchups. On Wednesday, they fought hard against Iona, but fell short, losing 7-9. The Bobcats were down 5-0 at the half, and came all the way back to cut it to 8-7 in the closing minutes, but Iona was able to hold on for the win. Avery Drouin led the team with two goals. Quinnipiac had the advantage in shots taken (29), draw controls (10), free-position shots (8), and ground balls (25), but Iona goalie Shannon McCaffrey had a monster game with 13 saves.

Last Meeting
The Red Foxes last took on the Bobcats in the first round of the MAAC Championships last season, defeating them 17-10. Marist led in many of the major stat categories: goals (17), shots (35), assists (11), and draw controls (25).
Hailey Wagner broke her own Marist single-game record for draw controls, winning 21.
Natalie Bonaroti led the team with four goals, followed by
Audrey Cerrone and
Olivia Pitonzo, who each head three. Pitonzo also has a team-high five assists.

Marist has increased their goal totals in each of the last three games. They scored 12 goals in the loss against Yale University, 14 in the win against Monmouth University, and then 19 in the win against Manhattan. For the season, the Red Foxes have reached double digits in all but two games, and have scored 14 or more goals in 5 of the 10 games. They rank second in the MAAC in goals per game averaging 13.30 goals.
