Men's Lacrosse Picks Up Win at Siena

Jake Weinman Scores a Career High Six Goals

Loudonville, New York – Men's lacrosse picked up an 11-8 conference win against Siena Saturday afternoon. The Red Foxes fended off an aggressive Saints team who outshot Marist 53 to 35. With the win, the men improve to 2-2 in MAAC play while Siena falls to 0-4 in conference play.
 
Summary
The Red Foxes stormed into the game with a 6-0 scoring run in the first quarter. Jake Weinman scored a hat trick and Gannon Morrison was involved in three of the scores. Siena's Mike Reilly and Chris Robertson got Saints on the board in the second quarter to bring the score to 7-3 at the half.
 
Weinman found the back of the net to start the second half. The Saints wen on a 3-0 run to come within two goals of Marist. Morrison and Weinman added one score each to give Marist enough of a cushion for the rest of the game.

  • Weinman lead the Red Foxes with a career high six goals.
  • Morrison finished with three goals and three assists.
  • Brian Corrigan had 11 saves on the day.
  • Nick Nye was a force on defense, finishing the day with two caused turnovers and six ground balls.
