BRONX, New York – Marist picks up another come from behind victory against Fordham but fell to Bryant 3-1. The Red Foxes now sit at 2-3 on the season.

After dropping the first set, the Red Foxes were still searching for offensive rhythm with five of their points coming from Fordham errors as they trailed 9-7. The Red Foxes got things going, recording kills from six different players. An attack error from Fordham gave Marist set point at 24-23, but three unanswered points gave the Rams a 2-0 set lead.

Set three was another close series between the two teams, with no team ever leading by more than four points. Marist shifted momentum in its favor with a 5-2 run to take a 21-17 lead. The run was highlighted by two service aces from
Morgan Owens. A kill from
Stephanie Stone got the Red Foxes to set point and a Fordham service error gave them the set win.

Nikki DeSerpa started the next set on fire, recording four consecutive kills en route to a 7-2 start. Fordham would come back to score five unanswered points to take a 16-12 lead. Marist came back and took set point only for Fordham to equalize. The two teams went back and for forth the next couple rallies but a well-placed kill from
Megan Fergus followed by a service ace from DeSerpa gave Marist the 28-26 set win.

Fordham held the early lead in the final set, with Marist holding on thanks in large part to Fordham errors. But the Red Foxes rallied with Fergus hitting four kills at the end of the set to give the team the match victory.

The Bulldogs jumped to an early 7-2 lead, but errors plagues them and Marist came within one. Marist tied it up with a block from
Stephanie Stone and back-to-back kills from
Ashley Cruise gave Marist a 17-15 lead. After tying it up at 24 each, Bryant landed a kill to get to set point. But the Red Foxes scored three more points with
Lauren Waide finishing it off with a block to finish the set 27-25.

The second set was Bryant's the entire way with Marist unable to find an offensive spark.

The next set went back in forth with Bryant taking a lead, only for Marist to come back and equalize. A pair of kills from DeSerpa and
Skylar Harrison gave the Red Foxes the 14-12 lead. Bryant hit three kills in a row to take a three point lead and would ride the lead to a second set victory.

Through the first 15 points of the fourth set, no team leading by more than a point. Marist finally took a two point lead at 17-15, but Bryant rallied with five of their six points coming from kills for a 21-17 lead. Errors kept the Red Foxes in the match but they ultimately fell 25-23.

- Dating back to last season, this is the third consecutive five-set match Marist has come back from two sets to win 3-2.
- DeSerpa had a double-double on the day against Fordham, finishing with 20 kills and 13 digs.
- Fergus had 11 kills against Fordham while Cruise had 10 against Bryant.
- Sarah had a new career high in digs, finishing with 16 against Bryant
