Lars Schouten Advances To Quinnipiac Fall Open Finals

Men's Tennis Wraps Up Day Two Of Opening Tournament

HAMDEN, Connecticut – The Marist men's tennis team wrapped up day two of competition at the Quinnipiac Fall Open. The Red Foxes competed in only singles on Saturday after being knocked out of doubles play on Friday.

SINGLES
  • In singles play, Christopher Gladden was bounced from his flight falling to Quinnipiac, 6-3, 6-2.
  • Piotr Sowinski fell in his match 3-6, 6-1, 10-6.
  • Lars Schouten will be the last man standing for Marist as he won his first match against Fordham, 4-6, 6-4, 10-6 and then his second match against Fairfield, 6-3, 6-2.
  • Kian Yadzi won his first match of the day over UConn, 6-3, 6-4 before falling to Wesleyan 6-4, 6-4.
  • Jack Sequerth fell in his match to Wesleyan 6-1, 6-2.
