LAWRENCEVILLE, New Jersey – Marist picked up where it left off yesterday and took down Rider in three sets. With the win, the Red Foxes sit at 8-8 overall and second in the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference at 5-1.

Marist picked up momentum early in set one and never relinquished it, winning 25-17. The Red Foxes used a 7-1 run to go up 11-4, getting some help from three Bronco's attack errors. Marist closed the set with back-to-back kills from
Chidera Udeh.

Set two started even footed with Rider holding the slight edge over Marist.
Taylor van der Biezen's service ace gave the Red Foxes their first lead of the set at 13-12. A block from Udeh and
Megan Fergus brought the lead to 17-14 and forced a Rider timeout. The Broncos were unable to regroup and the Red Foxes took set two 25-19, earning the last five points all from kills.

Consecutive service aces from van der Biezen helped propel Marist to a 4-1 lead. Rider would stay in the set the entire time but were never able to equalize the score or take the lead. Marist minimized on errors in the final set, only making three attack errors and one service error. A service ace from
Lauren Waide shut the door on the set at 25-20.
