POUGHKEEPSIE, New York – Throughout his Marist career, senior guard/forward
David Knudsen has been known for his toughness, his ability to knock down the open shot, and his stellar work in the classroom.
Knudsen has been playing some of his best basketball during his senior year as of late. He scored a season-high 21 points in Marist's victory at Manhattan on Jan. 21. Over his last three games, he is averaging 14.0 points and 4.7 rebounds per game while shooting .615 (16-for-26) from the field and .517 (8-for-14) from three-point range. He is one of the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference's top threats from long distance, as he ranks third in the MAAC in three-point percentage this season at .434.
Knudsen has also made his mark in the classroom. A Business Administration major, he has earned the following honors in his career: NABC Honors Court, Marist Center for Student-Athlete Enhancement Student-Athlete of the Month, MAAC All-Academic Team, MAAC Academic Honor Roll, and MAAC Student-Athlete of the Week.
