POUGHKEEPSIE, New York - Marist men's soccer (9-8, 6-4 MAAC) routed Canisius 92-15, 1-9 MAAC) by a score of 6-0.
Skylar Conway scored a hat-trick in the first half to lead the Red Foxes in the blowout victory.

- Conway scored his first goal of the game in just the third minute. Stefan Copetti stole the ball from a Canisius defender, and Conway fired into the bottom-left corner of the net.
- In the 21st minute, Justin Jaime found Conway on a cross-goal pass, the the sophomore extended the lead to two.
- Just two minutes later, Joe Mac chipped the ball over the Golden Griffins' defense to a sprinting Allen Gavilanes, and the junior blasted the ball into the bottom-right corner to get on the board for the Red Foxes.
- Following a beautiful display of passing by Jacob Schulman and Skylar Conway, Justin Jaime broke free and continued the scoring frenzy with a goal of his own.
- Schulman earned a dead-ball opportunity in the penalty box in the 39th minute, and Conway converted once again to record his third goal of the game.
- Marist led 5-0 at the half, outshooting Canisius 16-4 overall and 5-0 on goal.
- The Red Foxes finally cooled off in the second half, but Stefan Copetti added a goal of his own in the 85th minute to give Marist the 6-0 shutout over the Golden Griffins.
- Skylar Conway recorded seven total points, the most of any Red Fox at a single game this season.
- Stefan Copetti had another strong game with a goal and an assist.
- Marist outshot Canisius 23-5 overall, and 13-2 on goal.
- Samuel Ilin made two saves for his third shutout as a Red Fox.
- Conway scored the first hat-trick for the Red Foxes since Cameron Harr in the 5-0 win over Manhattan in 2016. That match also marked the last time a single player scored seven or more points.
- Six goals is the most Marist has scored since the 6-4 win over Army in 2011, and 6-0 is the largest margin of victory in over two decades.
- 11 Red Foxes have scored this season, and seven have scored more than once.
With the win, Marist clinched the fourth seed in the MAACÂ Playoffs, and will host fifth-seeded Manhattan on Sunday in the quarterfinals. Time still to be determined.
