BALTIMORE, Maryland – Session two of the H2Ounds Invitational concluded on Saturday afternoon, and both Red Fox squads continue to perform well. The women's team has overtaken Loyola to secure first place by a half-point. Marist leads Loyola on the women's side 687.5-687. The men's team remains in second place, holding the position by over a 200-point margin. The men trail Loyola for first place 745-605.
- The women opened session two with a third-place finish in the 200-yard free relay. The team of Georgeanne Zimmerman, Emma Butzler, Megan Lasto, and Molly Hewett clocked in with a time of 1:38.15.
- Juliet Nowak picked up the women's first individual event in of the day, taking first place in the 100-yard back with a time of 57.43.
- Heather Hartmann dominated the 1650-yard free, completing the leg in first place with a time of 17:30.19.
- Marist finished first, second, and third in the 1-meter dive, continuing its dominance in diving events. Esabelle Gervasio totaled 261.60 points to secure first place, and she was followed up by Grace Reeves and Madison Sweeney.
- Sidney Judson is the current leading scorer for the women with 50 points. She is followed by Hartmann with 46 points, and then Kimberly Chan and Gervasio with 40 points.
- In the first individual event of the day on the men's side, Jackson Klarsfeld placed first in the 400-yard IM with a time of 4:00.74.
- As has been the theme of the meet and the season, the men's divers dominated once again. They finished one, two three, just like the women's team. Raislan Aiken took first place with 271.80 in the 3-meter dive, followed by David Gallino with 271.25 points and Tyler Wenzel with 245.90 points.
- Aiken leads Marist with 37 points in the meet. Right behind him is Klarsfeld with 36 points and Adam Kapusta with 35 points.
The third and final session of the invitational will begin later today, at 3 p.m. The Red Foxes look to keep the momentum going in the afternoon and come out of the competition with a victory.
