POUGHKEEPSIE, New York – Marist women's lacrosse will play its first away game against Rutgers on Saturday, February 16 at High Point Stadium.

The Red Foxes dropped their home opener against Army on February 13 at Tenney Stadium. Marist kept it close in the first half but Army pulled away in the second half to take control of the game.

Several players had career highs against Army.
Jana Rothman had a career high three assists and
Devon Connolly had a career high nine draw controls.
Isabelle Stockman scored her first career goal.

The Black Knights are 1-1 on the season, routing LIU Brooklyn 20-3 to open the season and narrowly falling to Temple 12-10 on February 13. Junior Samantha Budd, senior Christine DiLullo and sophomore Taralyn Naslonski were named to the Preseason Big Ten Watch List.

Marist is looking not only for its first win over Rutgers, but its first win over a Big Ten opponent. The Red Foxes are 0-3 all-time versus Rutgers.

Preseason All-MAAC Attacker
Samantha Mehalick had a good start to her 2019 campaign, scoring three goals against Army. The junior broke the single season record with 61 goals last season and has scored a goal in 12 consecutive games.
