POUGHKEEPSIE, New York – Senior second baseman Brandi Coon of the Marist softball team has established herself as a leader with her play on the field, and the example she has set off it.

Coon is a captain on this year's team, the starting second baseman, and the cleanup hitter. This season, she ranks second on the team in home runs and stolen bases. She was named Second Team All-Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference & Second Team All-MAAC as a sophomore.

Coon has also done an impressive job in the classroom. She is a Software Development major who has been named CoSIDA Academic All-District each of the last two seasons, and is a six-time selection to the Marist Dean's List.
