EDISON, New Jersey – Marist men's lacrosse Peyton Smith was named MAAC Defensive Player of the Week after a strong game against Siena. This is the second time this season Smith has earned the award.

Against Siena, Smith had another fantastic day at the face-off position winning 21-of-28. He prevented Siena winning any face-offs in the third quarter while Marist scored five goals to take a big lead. Smith also scooped up nine ground balls. On the season, Smith boasts a MAAC leading .661 face-off win percentage and has scooped up 65 ground balls.

Marist will travel to Quinnipiac on Saturday, April 13 for a noon game against the Bobcats.
