POUGHKEEPSIE, New York – The Marist football team held its first practice of preseason camp on Thursday evening at North Field.

The Red Foxes began Thursday with morning testing in the weight room, followed by academic programming in the afternoon. The team took the field for stretching shortly before 6:30 p.m., and the practice lasted slightly longer than 90 minutes. Practice consisted of 19 total periods, which included position drills, special teams work, and multiple sessions of 7-on-7 and 11-on-11.

On Friday, the Red Foxes have a morning walk-through, afternoon academic programming, and an evening practice which will run from approximately 6:30-8 p.m. Saturday's afternoon session (3-5 p.m.) will be the first practice in pads (uppers), and Sunday's morning session (8:15-10:30 a.m.) will be the first in full pads. Marist opens the 2019 season, its 11
