ITHACA, New York - The Marist women's lacrosse team is set to take on Cornell on Wednesday, February 19th. The Red Foxes are looking for their first win of the season, while Ithaca looks to improve to 2-0. The game, which was originally set for 5 p.m., will now begin at 4:30 p.m.

- Senior Samantha Mehalick led the Marist attack with two goals. Senior Jana Rothman and junior Devon Connolly each added one.Â

- Army's Caroline Raymond led the Cadets with five goals and seven points.

- Hailey Wagner, now an Assistant Coach, led the Marist offense with five goals and five points on five shots.

- Cornell's Sarah Phillips scored a game-high six goals.

- Cornell finished 2019 with a record of 8-8 and 4-3 in the Ivy League.Â
- The Big Red were picked to finish fourth in the Ivy League in the Preseason Poll this season.
- Cornell is coming off of a 13-11 win against Villanova.
- Caroline Allen led the Big Red attack with a hat trick and also contributed an assist.
- Grace Paletta, Shannon Brazier, Genevieve DeWinter, and Bridget Babcock each added two goals.
- Goalie Katie McGahan tallied 11 saves and recorded the win.
- Cornell trailed 11-10 with 6:42 remaining, but added three goals to secure the comeback win.                       Â

The Red Foxes host Rutgers in their home-opener on Saturday, February 22. Game time is set for 1 p.m. This will be the first game of a five-game home stand.
