Women’s Lacrosse Set for Weekday Matchup Against UMass Lowell

Red Foxes Look for Second Win in a Row at Tenney Stadium

POUGHKEEPSIE, New York – Marist women's lacrosse will host the UMass Lowell River Hawks on Tuesday night, in what is the third game of a five-game homestand. The game is set to begin at 7 p.m. at Tenney Stadium. The Red Foxes will be looking to make it two wins in a row, as they are fresh off an impressive victory over the Binghamton Bearcats last week.

MEHALICK MAGIC
  • Mehalick is fresh off being named Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference Offensive Player of the Week after her seven-goal performance against Binghamton.
  • This was the fifth time in her career that Mehalick has won MAAC Offensive player of the Week, and it was the seventh total MAAC weekly award of her career.
  • Mehalick is now in sole possession of third place on the program's all-time points list, and is already number one on the program's goals scored list.
  • This season, Mehalick has tallied hat tricks in three of the five games played, and two goals in both games she didn't have a hat trick. She has 17 goals on the year already, and has a career-high 16 draw controls already on the year.
  • For her career, she has started every single game since she joined the program, and in the four years so far she has totaled 198 goals, 75 ground balls, 26 caused turnovers, 17 caused turnovers, and 12 assists.

SCOUTING THE RIVER HAWKS
  • UMass Lowell is sitting at 2-4 overall on the season heading into Tuesday's contest with Marist.
  • The River Hawks are 1-2 on the road so far this year.
  • Last year, UMass Lowell finished with an overall record of 5-12, and only went 1-9 on the road.
  • The River Hawks were selected to finish seventh in the AEC preseason poll, only in front of Hartford.
