BALTIMORE, Maryland – The Marist men's swimming & diving placed second out of six teams at the H20unds Invitational, hosted by Loyola University Maryland on Friday & Saturday.
The Red Foxes competed against the host Greyhounds and Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference foe Iona in addition to Virginia Military Institute, Howard, and Mount St. Mary's.
- Tyler Wenzel captured the 3-meter diving title with a score of 229.45. Wenzel also placed third in the 1-meter dive (224.85).
- The Red Foxes received three second-place finishes: Adam Kapusta, 200 individual medley (4:03.98); Ante Dany, 200 freestyle (1:40.28); and Ahmed Sallam, 100 freestyle (45.72).
- Christopher Dauser placed third in the 100 breaststroke (57.03). He was also fourth in the 200 breaststroke (2:05.75) and sixth in the 200 individual medley (1:54.74).
- The 800 freestyle relay team of Ethan McCormac along with Sallam, Kapusta, and Dany placed third with a time of 6:47.09. This quartet was also fourth in the 400 freestyle relay (3:04.69).
- Sallam took part in seven events in the meet. Individually, he was also fifth in the freestyle (20.73) and eighth in the 100 backstroke (51.77). He was also on two additional relay teams that finished fourth: the 400 medley relay (3:21.50) and 200 medley relay (1:32.95).
- Kapusta also placed in the top 10 in the 200 butterfly (fourth, 1:51.57) and 500 freestyle (ninth, 4:39.60).

- This meet concludes the fall semester for the Red Foxes.
- Marist returns to action on Friday, Jan. 14, when the Red Foxes host Southern Connecticut State at McCann Natatorium beginning at 1 p.m.
- The Red Foxes will have three more meets prior to February's MAAC Championships.
