Men’s Lacrosse Downs Manhattan in Regular-Season Finale

Red Foxes Score 12 Second-Half Goals

POUGHKEEPSIE, New York – The Marist men's lacrosse team closed out the regular season on Saturday night with a 14-7 triumph over Manhattan at Tenney Stadium.
 
After trailing 4-2 at halftime, the Red Foxes erupted for 12 goals in the final 30 minutes, including seven in the final quarter.

  • Manhattan jumped out to an early 2-0 lead, but Vito Musso scored twice to tie the game. The score was knotted at two after the first 15 minutes.
  • The score remained tied at two until Manhattan scored twice in the final 21 seconds of the second quarter. Justin Malpica's buzzer-beater gave the Jaspers a 4-2 halftime lead.

  • Marist has now won four straight against Manhattan.
