POUGHKEEPSIE, New York - The Marist men's lacrosse team has added 11 newcomers to its roster ahead of the upcoming 2022 season, the program made official late Wednesday afternoon.Â
The new group of student-athletes represent four different states, and two different countries. The 2022 class also features every position on the field, including four attackmen, two defenders, two midfielders, two goalies, and a face off specialist.Â
"We are so excited to announce the addition of another exceptional group of student-athletes to the Marist Lacrosse family," Head Coach
Keegan Wilkinson said. "This was a unique process for our staff as we worked tirelessly to build a competitive recruiting class despite the many challenges and restrictions that we were presented over the last 18 months during the global pandemic. With that being said, we cannot say enough about the commitment and loyalty that this group and their families have showed during this process, as a number of these young men joined our class before even stepping foot on campus or meeting our staff in person as we navigated a closed campus during the 2020-21 school year. We are thrilled with all of the young men that make up this group and know that they will immediately help our program to compete at a high level this upcoming season. This incoming class will be joining a terrific group of returners that is eager to get back to work in just a few weeks as the fall semester begins in a few weeks."
