HAMDEN, Connecticut – The Marist men's basketball team battled from behind but in the end fell short against the Quinnipiac Bobcats, 94-87, in a Metro Atlantic Conference matchup Friday night. The Red Foxes now fall to an overall record of 8-11 and 3-7 in MAAC play. The victory moves the Bobcats overall record to 11-7 and 6-4 in conference play.
 

Summary

• Quinnipiac took an early 5-0 lead but Marist quickly responded with a 5-0 run.
• After six Red Foxes' turnovers in the first seven minutes, the Bobcats capitalized and extended their lead shooting 64 percent from the field and 60 percent from three.
• Quinnipiac collected nine three-pointers in the first half. Marist hit seven three-pointers of their own but the Bobcats ended the half with a 56-35 lead.
• The Red Foxes came back firing in the second half. Collecting 21 points in the first seven minutes of the new period.
• With under eight minutes remaining, a Noah Harris three-pointer cut Quinnipiac's lead to single digits. Quinnipiac's largest lead was 23 points, before the Red Foxes cut the deficit to one point with a dunk from Jordan Jones with 3:31 remaining.
• Two clutch bucket's from Quinnipiac's Matt Balanc pushed the Bobcats lead back up to seven with just over two minutes to go.
• Quinnipiac would hold onto the lead and claim the wire-to-wire victory.

• Marist collected a season high in three-pointers made (17), the Red Foxes shot 50 percent from three and 46 percent from the field.
• Noah Harris bested his previous career high in points of 12, finishing the game with 24 points.
• Matt Herasme collected a season high in points of 12 points, and a season high in three-pointers made (4).
• The Red Foxes had four players scoring in double digits, Noah Harris (24), Jao Ituka (14), Ricardo Wright (13) and Matt Herasme (12).
• In the second half, Marist outscored Quinnipiac 52-38. The Red Foxes shot 17-of-34 from the field and 10-of-18 from three. The Bobcats shot 13-of-30 from the field and 5-of-12 from three.
