POUGHKEEPSIE, New York– The Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) has announced its 2021 Division I Women's Soccer All-ECAC Team and major awards.
Senior
Natalie Kelchner from the Marist Women's soccer team was honored as the only Goalkeeper on the All-ECAC Team. Kelchner was previously named First Team All-MAAC, and the conference's Defensive Player of the Week twice during the regular season. Recording a total of 1436:39 minutes for the 2021 season. She held the opposition to either zero or one goal in 12 of the Red Foxes' 14 regular-season contests. She was the second MAAC Goalkeeper of the Year in program history, following Mellanie Nai in 2001.
Kelchner led the MAAC in save percentage in the regular season (.871). She also ranked second in goals against (0.87), tied for second in clean sheets (four), and third in saves per game (6.29).
This year's ECAC honorees included student-athletes from the Ivy League, Atlantic Coast Conference, and Colonial Athletic Association in addition to the MAAC.
The Marist Women's Soccer team concluded with an overall record of 5-7-3. The Red Foxes went 4-4-2 in MAAC regular-season play.
