DUBLIN, Ireland – The Marist women's basketball team defeated Eastern Kentucky in a non-conference matchup on Friday, Nov. 18. The Red Foxes collected their first victory of the season by a score of 70-57.
 

Summary

• EKU took their largest lead of the game to end the first quarter by a score of 18-9.
• To close out the first half, the Red Foxes collected 21 points to cut EKU's lead to one point, 31-30.
• Kiara Fisher opened the second half with a three pointer to take the lead in the first 25 seconds of the quarter.
• The Red Foxes came out strong in the third quarter. With five minutes remaining Marist shot 7-for-11 (.636) from the field, and took a 45-37 lead.
• To end the third quarter with the lead, the Red Foxes shot .631 (12-of-19) from the field and 1.000 (4-of-4).
• The Red Foxes defense held the Colonels to only 10 points in the fourth quarter, causing EKU to turn the ball over eight times.

• The Red Foxes had three players score in double-figures, Zaria Shazer (22), Kiara Fisher (17) and Kendall Krick (12).
• Shazer let the team in points and rebounds (eight).
• EKU committed 30 turnovers; the Red Foxes were able to capitalize and tally 34 points off of their turnovers.
• Marist shot 14-for-16 from the free throw line.
• Marist is now 1-3 on the season.
