WASHINGTON, D.C. – The Marist women's basketball team closes out its non-conference schedule with a victory over American University, 59-41.
 

Summary

• Kiara Fisher scored the first four points for Marist, giving the Red Foxes their first lead.
• With five minutes remaining in the first quarter, the Red Foxes extended their lead with a 8-0. Marist led American 12-4 after one quarter of play. 
• The Red Foxes' defense held the Eagles scoreless just under six minutes in the second quarter. American went 0-7 from the field and 0-2 from three in their scoring drought.
• Marist took a 34-10 lead into halftime.
• In the first seven minutes of the second half, both teams scored a total of 13 points from the free throw line. American double its score with 15 points in the third quarter.
• The Red Foxes defeated the Eagles by a score of 59-41.
