Women's Basketball Takes on Canisius

Red Foxes Look to Remain in Win Column

POUGHKEEPSIE, New York – Marist women's basketball continues its Buffalo trip with a conference matchup against Canisius on Monday at 1 p.m. The Red Foxes are coming off a win over Niagara by a score of 63-55.

  • The Red Foxes opened the game with a 6-0 lead from back-to-back three pointers from Kiara Fisher and Julianna Bonilla.
  • At the end of the first quarter, the Red Foxes led 20-18.

  • Opening the third quarter, an 8-0 scoring run for the Red Foxes enabled them to take the lead over the Purple Eagles.

SCOUTING CANISIUS
  • Canisius headed into MAAC play with a 4-6 record and are currently 1-0 in conference after a 74-67 win over Rider.
  • Dani Haskell leads the team with 115 points in 10 games, averaging 12.8 a game.
  • The Golden Griffins are 77% at the free throw line.
  • Last season, the Red Foxes went 1-1 against the Golden Griffins. Canisius defeated Marist in their last matchup by a score of 65-61.
