LOWELL, MASSACHUSETTS – The Marist Women's Lacrosse team's season opener will be at the University of Massachusetts River Hawks in Lowell, MA on Sunday, February 20th at 1p.m.

Last Matchup vs.Umass Lowell
  • The last game against Umass Lowell was at Tenney Stadium on March 10th, 2020
  • The Red Foxes topped the River Hawks with a final score of 15-10.

Scouting the Red Foxes
  • The Marist women's lacrosse program was voted to finish sixth in the MAAC this year, receiving 41 votes. They finished just behind Quinnipiac, who received 43 votes.
  • Junior Kerri Gutenberger found herself on the Preseason All-MAAC Team as an attack.
  • Last season, the women were only able to play eight games due to COVID-19 restrictions. They finished 3-5 overall, and 2-4 in MAAC play. In last year's MAAC tournament, they lost in the quarterfinals to #1 Fairfield, 14-13.
Scouting the River Hawks
  • UMass Lowell who are in the American East conference, finished last season 4-8, with a conference record of 3-6.
  • The River Hawks are 0-2 on the season, falling to UMass with a final score of 18-4 on February 12th and narrowly falling to Holy Cross 6-13 on February 18.
