POUGHKEEPSIE, New York – Coming off two big wins at the Triton Invitational, the Marist women's water polo team travels to Santa Clara, California for the Santa Clara Invite. The tournament spans from Saturday, February 19th to Sunday, February 20th. The Red Foxes first game of the weekend will come against Monterey Bay, set to start at 3:20 p.m.

Last Time Out

• Last time out, Marist competed in the Triton Invitational hosted by UC Irvine. 
• The Red Foxes lost both matches on Saturday, but won both matches on Sunday, beating Pomona-Pitzer and Santa Clara University.  
• Marist outscored their opponents 31-11 over the final two games. 
• Madeline Schultz led the team with twelve goals. 

Scouting Monterey Bay

• Monterey Bay is 1-3 on the season, with their lone victory coming against Santa Clara University.
• Monterey Bay has been outscored by opponents this season 25-60. 

Scouting Santa Clara

• Santa Clara University is 2-5 on the year, losing four in a row coming into this weekend's event.
• The Broncos two wins came against Fresno Pacific and West Valley College. 
• Marist and Santa Clara matched up at the Triton Invitational earlier this year, with the Red Foxes coming out on top 17-6.  

Scouting Pacific

• Pacific is currently sitting at 1-4 this season, coming into the weekend off their first win of the year.
• The Tigers hold an all-time record of 4-0 against Marist.
• The last matchup between the Red Foxes and Pacific came in January of 2020, with Marist falling by a score of 11-12.  

Scouting Cal State East Bay

• The Pioneers are 5-2 this season and currently on a two-game win streak. 
• Marist is 3-0 all-time against the Pioneers.  
• Their last matchup came in 2017. The Red Foxes won by a score of 9-7.
