Marist Men’s Basketball Wins Fifth Straight

Red Foxes Take Thriller Over Quinnipiac, 67-66

POUGHKEEPSIE, New York – The Marist men's basketball team won its fifth straight on Sunday, as the Red Foxes earned a 67-66 triumph over Quinnipiac at McCann Arena.

  • Starting at the 4:31 mark, the lead changed hands four times in the next 100 seconds. Jao Ituka's three-pointer at the 2:51 mark gave Marist the lead for good.
  • With 18 seconds to play, Kevin Marfo hit a free throw to bring Quinnipiac within one. Marfo missed the second free throw and missed on two more chances. The Red Foxes also got a stop on the Bobcats' final possession to pull out the victory.

  • The Red Foxes had three double-digit scorers, all off the bench: Sullivan (12), Jones (11), and Bell (11). Bell also led the Red Foxes with six rebounds.
