POUGHKEEPSIE, New York- The Marist Water Polo team had a successful day hosting the Courtney Fisher Invite, defeating Mercyhurst and St. Francis-Brooklyn. Prior to the final game, the Red Foxes honored their six seniors, which included Marina Hyham, Sawyer Alter, Gabi Gervasi, Myriam Lizotte, Viktoria Orlova, and Kathryn McCullough.Â

Marist again came out of the gates hot, scoring six goals in each of the first two quarters to take a 12-4 lead at halftime. Â

Schultz again led the Red Foxes with five goals, bringing her total on the day to 13 goals. Â

Shannon Connolly also had three goals for the Red Foxes, while Orlova, Gerhard, and Ella Baumgarten each scored twice.Â

St. Francis-Brooklyn was led by Sofia Kolovou, who found the back of the net four times, including three goals in the second period. Â

Marist added seven goals in the fourth quarter to beat St. Francis-Brooklyn by a final score of 21-8.Â
The Red Foxes head to Boston to take on Cal State East Bay and Cal Lutheran in the Harvard Invite. Game times are set for 10:15 am and 2:15 pm, respectively.
