POUGHKEEPSIE, New York- The Marist Water Polo team had a successful day hosting the Courtney Fisher Invite, defeating Mercyhurst and St. Francis-Brooklyn. Prior to the final game, the Red Foxes honored their six seniors, which included Marina Hyham, Sawyer Alter, Gabi Gervasi, Myriam Lizotte, Viktoria Orlova, and Kathryn McCullough. 

• Marist got out to a quick start, taking a 12-2 lead into halftime. 

• Madeline Schultz had eight goals in the game, two in each period. 

• Ten Red Foxes scored, including multiple goals from Schultz, Rachel Dean, Fallon Burnworth, Myriam Lizotte, Emilie Gerhard, and Viktoria Orlova. 

• The three goals from Mercyhurst are the least the Red Foxes have allowed all season. 

• The 22 goals scored by Marist are also a season high. 

• Marist again came out of the gates hot, scoring six goals in each of the first two quarters to take a 12-4 lead at halftime.  

• Schultz again led the Red Foxes with five goals, bringing her total on the day to 13 goals.  

• Shannon Connolly also had three goals for the Red Foxes, while Orlova, Gerhard, and Ella Baumgarten each scored twice. 

• St. Francis-Brooklyn was led by Sofia Kolovou, who found the back of the net four times, including three goals in the second period.  

• Marist added seven goals in the fourth quarter to beat St. Francis-Brooklyn by a final score of 21-8. 

The Red Foxes head to Boston to take on Cal State East Bay and Cal Lutheran in the Harvard Invite. Game times are set for 10:15 am and 2:15 pm, respectively.
