The Red Foxes Look to Return to the Win Column

POUGHKEEPSIE, New York – The Marist women's lacrosse team hosts the University of Vermont this week at Tenney Stadium. The game is set for Wednesday, March 9th and will start at 2:00 p.m. Following that game, Marist remains home to play Hofstra on Saturday, March 12th at 1:00 p.m.
 
Last Time Out
  • Marist was defeated by Binghamton University 15-6 in Vestal, New York.
  • Delaney Hayes led the Red Foxes offense with a hat-trick.
  • Kerri Gutenberger followed with two goals and one assist. While Olivia Arntsen scored one goal. 
 
Scouting UVM
  • Marist and UVM are tied up in the all-time series at 6-6, however, the Red Foxes have won the last five meetings between the two teams.
  • The last game fell to Marist by a score of 15-14 in overtime.

Scouting Hofstra
  • This will be Marist's first matchup against Hofstra since 2015.
  • The Red Foxes are 0-3 against the Pride, falling by a score of 12-8 last time.
  • The Pride are 4-1 on the year, sharing a win against LIU and a loss against Army with Marist.
  • Graduate Student Katie Whelan leads the team in all major offensive statistics with 12 goals, five assists, and 17 total points.
  • Hofstra has only allowed more than seven goals on one occasion this year.
