POUGHKEEPSIE, New York- The Marist baseball team received a Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference major award.
Bayram Hot captured MAAC Rookie of the Year for the Red Foxes after an outstanding year at third base.
The Ball Foxes also received honors on the All-MAAC Second Team and All-MAAC Rookie Team. Outfielder
Brian Hart received Second Team honors along with
Bayram Hot. The Red Foxes had two All-MAAC rookie team members including unanimous selection,
Bayram Hot and
Ethan Conrad.
The Red Foxes also had 17 honorees on the MAAC All-Academic Team.
- Hot took home three MAAC honors for his performance during the 2023 season. Hot was awarded MAAC Rookie of the Year, All-MAAC Second Team, and a unanimous selection to the All-MAAC Rookie Team.
- Finished the season first in batting average, slashing a .382 average and a .446 on base percentage.
- Hot also collected 37 runs batted in, 14 doubles, and 11 steals for the Red Foxes.
- Hot finished the season with a .942 fielding percentage, tallying six errors on the season.
- Hot received three MAAC Rookie of the Week honors during the 2023 season.
- Brian Hart was honored with All-MAAC Second Team.
- Hart slashed a .323 batting average during the 2023 season for the Red Foxes. He also finished with a program-tying record 14 home runs during the 2023 campaign.
- Hart finished the season with a team-high 51 runs batted in for the Red Foxes.
- Hart collected 12 doubles, a triple, and 18 stolen bases during the season.
- Hart was awarded MAAC Player of the Week once in 2023.
- Ethan Conrad was honored with All-MAAC Rookie Team
- Conrad slashed a .320 batting average and a .371 on base percentage for the Red Foxes in his rookie season.
- Conrad tallied 32 runs batted in for the Red Foxes during the 2023 season.
- Conrad also hit three home runs, nine doubles, and two triples for the Red Foxes. He also went 19-20 in stolen base attempts in his rookie season.
- Conrad finished the season with two MAAC Rookie of the Week Honors.
