POUGHKEEPSIE, New York - Women's Lacrosse Head Coach, Keith Detelj, is proud to announce the hiring of Giuliana Durso as assistant coach. Durso is Detelj's first staff appointment since being named head coach of women's lacrosse in July.
"Giuliana is a great addition to our staff," said Detelj, "As a goalie at the University of Cincinnati she stepped up during big moments showcasing her leadership capabilities. Her experience from her time as a player has greatly contributed to her value as a coach. Her character and work ethic have been a staple in her coaching strategy up to this point in her career and I am looking forward to her bringing her knowledge and leadership experience to this program."
Durso, a graduate of the University of Cincinnati in 2019, played goalkeeper for the University's women's lacrosse team, playing in 40 games across four seasons for the Bearcats. During her time playing at UC, she set the program record for wins in a season and tied the school record in saves in a season with 161 and saves per game averaging 9.47.

Upon graduation, Durso returned to her home state of New Jersey, where she coached for Building Blocks Lacrosse (BBL). She also went on to coach for Centenary University in Hackettstown, New Jersey where she spent a year before leaving to coach for Drew University for a year-and-a-half.

After her time at Drew concluded, she took on more responsibility with BBL, where she taught more of the game as well as helped in the recruiting process.
