CAMBRIDGE, Massachusetts- The Marist water polo team finished the Bruno Classic with a split result in the matches, Sunday afternoon. The Red Foxes defeated Bucknell University, but fell to 18^th ranked Harvard University in the final day of competition.
 

Match One Vs Bucknell

• The Red Foxes defeated the Bison 16-11 in the first match of the final day.
• The Red Foxes and Bison ended the first quarter tied at 4-4.
• The Bison scored three goals in the second quarter and the Red Foxes trailed 7-5 at halftime.
• The Red Foxes scored seven goals in the third quarter and limited the Bison to four goals.
  • The Red Foxes gained the lead 12-11 going into the final frame.
• The Red Foxes scored four unanswered goals in the final quarter, defeating Bucknell 16-11.
• Paige Naegle and captain Shinae Carrington led the Red Foxes with four goals each in the win.
• Makaelee Hansberger recorded a hat trick against Bucknell in the win.

  

Match Two Vs 18 Harvard

• The Crimson took a 2-1 lead over the Red Foxes in the first quarter of play.
• Going into the half, the Red Foxes trailed the Crimson 8-2 after six goals in the second quarter by Harvard.
• The Red Foxes trailed 11-3 going into the final frame of the match after Harvard extended its lead.
• The Red Foxes fell to 18^th ranked Harvard 14-8.
