POUGHKEEPSIE, New York – The Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference men's lacrosse awards were announced Friday. The Red Foxes had five athletes earn All-MAAC honors and 21 student-athletes named to the All-MAAC Academic Team.
 

First Team

• Joshua Balcarcel was named to the All-MAAC First Team as a midfielder.
  • Balcarcel leads the team in goals (30), assists (21), and points (51).
  • Balcarcel scored his 50th career goal earlier this season.

 

Second Team

• Aiden McCaffrey earned All-MAAC Second Team as a defender.
  • McCaffrey set the program's single-season record with 33 caused turnovers and tied the program career mark with 63 caused turnovers.
• Michael Cassano was named to the All-MAAC Second Team as a Long Stick Midfielder.
  • Cassanno has picked up 24 ground balls and 10 caused turnovers to go along with three goals.

 

Rookie

• Cassano was named to the All-MAAC Rookie Team.
• Sean Mullan was named to the All-MAAC Rookie Team.
  • Mullan ranked third on the team with 19 goals and added three assists for 22 points.
• Collin Patrick garnered All-MAAC Rookie Team honors.
  • Patrick totaled 17 goals and 16 assists for 33 points, collecting 33 ground balls as well

 

MAAC All-Academic

• A total of 21 student-athletes received All-Academic team, a student-athlete must complete two semesters at their institution and hold a cumulative grade point average of 3.20 or higher.
