Marist Track & Field Travels Back to Virginia for Colonial Relays

Several Red Foxes Set to Make Outdoor Season Debut

POUGHKEEPSIE, New York - The Marist track & field program returns to action this weekend, traveling back to Virginia for the second time this young season to compete in the Colonial Relays hosted by William & Mary College.

The Red Foxes contended with a partial squad of 27 or fewer student-athletes in the first two meets of the outdoor season but will return some key runners for this weekend's competition. A combined total of 45 student-athletes from both the men's and women's teams will be participating in the two-day event.

On Friday morning the first event is set to go off at 9:45 a.m., while on Saturday competition will begin at 10 a.m.

Last Time Out - Men
  •  Matthew Ferreri (4:04.94) and Steven Viera (4:05.29) finished 11-12 in the 1,500-meter run, with both runners setting new personal bests. Viera shattered his previous PR by 15 seconds.
Last Time Out - Women
  •  Alyssa DaPont secured personal bests in both the 100-meter dash (13.53, 33rd) and the 200-meter dash (27.83, 42nd).
