POUGHKEEPSIE, New York - The MAAC has named Marist men's tennis player, Tomas Gomez, as Hercules Tires MAAC Student-Athlete of the Week. This is the men's tennis team's first weekly recognition of 2024.

Tomas Gomez has established himself as a critical part of the Marist men's tennis team with his performance on the court and off it. He is a two-year member of the program spending his freshman year at Biola University. Primarily anchoring in the four, five and six spots in singles, Gomez had a record of 9-7 in 2024. He was named to the men's tennis All-MAAC First Team at the #6 spot for his performance in 2024.

Tomas is a Business Administration major at Marist. He made Marist's Dean's list in the 2023 Fall Semester and was named to the MAAC men's tennis All-Academic team for 2024.
