Mike Willis has announced that the Red Foxes will have six captains for the 2024 season: senior

"Our team did a phenomenal job in selecting these captains to be the formal leaders of our team," Willis said. "I'm thrilled by the progress they've shown and the way they have embodied our culture through their deeds and actions. I'm so excited to watch them lead us out onto the field for our first game on September 7!"

Here is a closer look at each captain:
Â
- Four-year member of the program, first year as captain.
- Has started at center since his freshman season in 2021.
- Enters his senior year with 26 games played, and 23 starts.

- Second year at Marist after joining the program from Bates as a graduate transfer, and first year as captain.
- Caught 22 passes for 229 yards and one touchdown in seven games last season.
- Had season highs of nine catches for 110 yards plus a touchdown in the last season's finale against Bucknell.

- Four-year member of the program, and first year as captain.
- Has played in all 32 of Marist's games the past three years at nose tackle, where he is a two-year starter.
- Was named Second Team All-PFL last season after recording a team-high seven-and-a-half tackles for loss.

- Five-year member of the program, first year as captain.
- Has appeared in 26 games at defensive end, with nine career tackles for loss and seven sacks.
- Named Honorable Mention All-PFL in 2022, and is a four-time PFL Academic Honor Roll selection.

- First-time captain who is in his first year with the program.
- Is a graduate transfer from Dartmouth, where he was a four-year member of the program as a defensive lineman.
- Is Marist's nominee for this year's Campbell Trophy.

- Four-year member of the program who is in his second year as captain.
- Played in all 11 games at tight end last season, and caught 14 passes for 76 yards.
- Has been selected to the PFL Academic Honor Roll in all three of his previous seasons at Marist.

The Marist football team will open the season on Saturday against Georgetown at Tenney Stadium. Kickoff is set for noon in the first of five home games at Tenney Stadium this season.
