POUGHKEEPSIE, New York – Six Marist football players were named Academic All-District by College Sports Communicators on Tuesday:

- Defensive lineman Sean Coverdale was honored for the second straight year. Coverdale is a Business Administration major.
- Offensive lineman Brandon Furey is a first-time honoree. Furey is majoring in Psychology.
- Safety David LaFears is a first-time honoree. LaFears is a Business Administration major.
- Offensive lineman Chris Leonardo earned the honor for the second straight year. An Economics major, Leonardo was named the FCS ADA Academic All-Star Team earlier Tuesday. He has been named First Team PFL All-Academic each of the last two years.
- Defensive lineman Gannon McCorkle earned the honor for the first time. McCorkle was named First Team PFL All-Academic, and he was a national semifinalist for the Campbell Trophy. He is pursuing his Master's in Marketing Communication.
- Safety Kade Werner was honored for the first time. Werner is a Business Administration major.

The total of six honorees is the most the program has had. The Red Foxes also had six in 2022.
