EDISON, N.J. – The Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) announced its 2025 regular season awards on Monday, with four members of the Marist men's soccer team earning All-MAAC recognition. Junior midfielder
Kyle Evans was named to the All-MAAC First Team, sophomore midfielder
Gijs Verheul earned All-MAAC Second Team honors, while sophomore forward
Chris Verheul and freshman forward
Adriano Iannello were selected to the All-MAAC Third Team.
Evans led the Red Foxes this season with a team-high seven goals and 18 points, starting in all 16 matches he appeared in. He recorded a season-best five points in a win over Quinnipiac with two goals and one assist and added multiple points in the regular-season finale, contributing a goal and an assist in the victory over Saint Peter's.
Gijs Verheul ranked second on the team in both goals (6) and points (13) while appearing in 14 matches this season. He recorded multiple points in two contests, scoring twice in a win over Fordham and adding a goal and an assist in a victory against Quinnipiac.
Chris Verheul earned Third Team honors after totaling four goals and two assists for 10 points in 15 appearances. One of his four tallies proved to be the game-winner in Marist's home victory over Rider.
Iannello rounds out the Red Foxes' All-MAAC selections following an impressive rookie campaign in which he posted three goals and a team-leading five assists across 16 matches. He led the team with three game-winning goals, coming against UAlbany, Lehigh, and Quinnipiac.
In addition, eight Red Foxes were named to the MAAC All-Academic Team for their achievements on and off the pitch. To qualify, student-athletes must hold a cumulative grade point average of 3.2 or higher over at least two semesters.
