Former Marist Star Allen Gavilanes Continues Pro Soccer Journey

Gavilanes Inks Deal With Indy Eleven

INDIANAPOLIS – Former Marist men's soccer standout Allen Gavilanes has signed a deal with Indy Eleven ahead of the 2026 USL Championship season.

Gavilanes joins Indy Eleven after spending the past two seasons with Miami FC, where he totaled six goals and six assists in 3,750 minutes across 57 regular season appearances.

Prior to his time in Miami, Gavilanes played three seasons with Greenville Triumph SC of USL League One. During his stint with Greenville, he appeared in 92 matches across all competitions, scoring eight goals and adding 18 assists. The Triumph reached the USL League One Playoffs in each of his three seasons with the club, and Gavilanes earned five Team of the Week selections during his tenure.

Gavilanes played three seasons at Marist from 2017–19, with the 2020 season canceled due to the COVID-19 pandemic. During his collegiate career, he recorded 20 goals and 22 assists in 54 appearances. He was named MAAC Offensive Player of the Year and MAAC Rookie of the Year as a freshman and earned First Team All-MAAC honors in all three seasons. Gavilanes was also selected to the United Soccer Coaches Division I All-East Region Second Team and was a two-time MAAC All-Academic Team honoree.

As a sophomore, Gavilanes scored three game-winning goals and ranked among the MAAC leaders in assists per game, game-winning goals, and points. Gavilanes also played for USL League Two team New York Red Bulls U23 during his sophomore and junior seasons.

Following his Marist career, Gavilanes began his professional journey with Greenville Triumph SC before moving up to the USL Championship, first with Miami FC and now with Indy Eleven.
