Men’s Lacrosse Starts Five Game Road Trip in Jacksonville on Saturday

Red Foxes Head to Jacksonville for Saturday Afternoon Matchup on ESPN+

POUGHKEEPSIE, New York - The Marist men's lacrosse team will look to start 2-0 for the second consecutive season in an away matchup against Jacksonville on Saturday, Feb. 15. The game will start at 2 p.m. on ESPN+.
 
LAST TIME OUT
  • Marist beat Mercer 16-6 in its season opener at Tenney Stadium this past Saturday.
  • Marist had nine different players record a goal in the double-digit victory.
  • Collin Patrick led the way for the Red Foxes with four goals in the contest.
  • Drew Anderson, Jake Deacy, Joshua Balcarcel and Michael Cassano each logged two goals.  
  • Noble Smith registered 14 saves and a .700 save percentage in the win.
STRONG START
  • Collin Patrick opened his sophomore season in impressive fashion, tallying a collegiate high four goals against Mercer.
  • The sophomore earned his hat trick in the first half, scoring three of the first five Red Fox goals.
  • Patrick also added an assist in the win, leading the team with five points.
  • He put up six shots on the afternoon, five of which were on net. 
SCOUTING JACKSONVILLE
  • Marist will take on Jacksonville for the third consecutive year and sixth time in program history.
  • The Red Foxes currently lead the series 4-1.
  • Marist defeated the Dolphins 9-8 in overtime in its last meeting, with Jake Deacy scoring the game-winning goal in sudden death last season.
  • Jacksonville enters the match sitting at 0-2 this season, coming off losses against Syracuse and Duke.
  • Jack Taylor, Nicky Brown and Dalton Hubbs have each led the way for the Dolphins, delivering three goals apiece.
