Kiley Myers threw her first collegiate no-hitter as the Marist University softball team defeated LIU 9-0 in five innings in its first game Friday in the Stetson Invitational.

Myers needed just 51 pitches to get through five innings. She allowed only one baserunner as she retired the final 10 Sharks she faced. Myers finished the game with two strikeouts.

Myers' no-hitter was the program's first since 2016, when Jayne Oberdorf accomplished the feat against Quinnipiac on April 15. Myers is now 5-0 with an 0.77 ERA and a save in her six appearances this season.Â
In their second game of the day, Marist fell to Stetson by a score of 8-3.

The Red Foxes now stand at 8-3 this season.

- Marist scored three in the bottom of the first. Miah McDonald belted a one-out solo homer, and after a double by Haley Ahr, Maddie Pleasants followed with a two-run blast.
- McDonald drew a one-out walk in the bottom of the third, and came home on Isabella Manory's sacrifice fly.
- Marist then added five runs in the fourth. Samantha Rogers led off the inning with a home run. After singles by Kaitlyn Husic and Peyton Pusey, and a walk to McDonald, Ahr belted a grand slam to close out the scoring.
- Ahr finished 3-for-3 with four RBIs and two runs scored. McDonald scored three runs. Both Ahr and McDonald reached safely in all of their plate appearances.
- Pleasants was 2-for-3 with two RBIs.

- Stetson scored single runs in the first and third innings.
- The Hatters added five in the fourth, capped by a two-run double off the bat of Dylan Anthony.
- Marist got on the board in the top of the sixth. Ahr's double brought in McDonald, and Ahr then scored on a sacrifice fly by Pleasants.
- Husic hit a solo homer with two outs in the seventh.
- Manory led the Red Foxes with two hits.
- Anna Sidlowski allowed just one run in three innings of relief.

- Marist returns to action on Saturday with two more games at the Stetson Invitational.
- The Red Foxes will face Florida Atlantic (#25 in the ESPN.com/USA Softball national poll, #2 in the D1Softball Mid-Major Top 25 poll) at noon, and host Stetson at 5:30.In their second game of the day, Marist fell to Stetson by a score of 8-3.
