McDonald Sets Program’s Triples Record in Win over Stetson

DeLAND, Florida – The Marist University softball team split its two games on Saturday at the Stetson Invitational.

In the Red Foxes' first game of the day, they fell 4-3 to Florida Atlantic, which is ranked #25 in this week's ESPN.com/USA Softball poll and #2 in the D1Softball Mid-Major Poll. Marist then bounced back for a 6-2 victory over Stetson in its second game.

In her final at bat of the day, Miah McDonald set the program's all-time record for triples in the top of the seventh against Stetson. The 15th triple of her career broke a four-way tie for first place with Janine O'Connor, Angela Degatano, and Laurie Sleight.
