Women's Lacrosse to Host Binghamton in Final Matchup of Homestand

Red Foxes will remain on the road for the remainder of March

POUGHKEEPSIE, New York - Marist women's lacrosse will host the Binghamton Bearcats on Saturday, Mar. 1, to close out its four-game homestand. The game is set for 1 p.m. and will air on ESPN+.  
 
Last Time Out
  • Marist dropped its game against Monmouth,9-5, this past Wednesday.
  • Senior midfield and captain Chloe Birckhead led the team with two goals and one assist for three points.
  • Junior midfield Caitlin McNaboe, sophomore midfield Catherine Windsor, and sophomore attack Kate Gaven all notched one goal apiece, while Gaven also added an assist.
 
Gaven a Great Start
  • Kate Gaven has been a major contributor to the Red Foxes' scoring this season, leading the team with five assists and 11 points, while placing second in goals with six.
  • After only three games with one goal as a freshman in 2024, Gaven has been an offensive catalyst for the Red Foxes in 2025, securing her first career hat-trick against Vermont in a 13-7 win on Feb. 22.
  • Gaven is also tenth in the MAAC in assists per game at 1.00 avg/g and tenth in shots per game at 5.20 avg/g.
 
Scouting Binghamton
  • This matchup will be the 17th between Marist and Binghamton in program history, and the Red Foxes are 13-4 all-time against the Bearcats.  
  • Binghamton is 1-3 overall on the 2025 campaign.
  • The Bearcats came up short in its last time out, 10-6, against St. Bonaventure on Feb. 25.
  • Binghamton has two players in the top-10 in goals per game in the America East Conference; junior attack Emma Blloshmi slots in third with 14 goals, and senior attack Olivia Muscolino ranks ninth with nine goals.
  • Blloshmi has at least three goals in all four games for the Bearcats this season, including a pair of four-goal games.
  • Marist lost their last matchup against Binghamton, 20-4 on Feb. 18, 2024.
  • The Red Foxes have lost their previous three matchups against the Bearcats dating back to 2022, after winning eight consecutively from 2013 to 2020.
