POUGHKEEPSIE, New York – The Marist women's lacrosse team fell to Binghamton by a score of 8-7 on Saturday at Tenney Stadium.
- Anne Shine's goal, set up by Jesse Manger, tied the score at one at the 12:04 mark.
- Binghamton closed out the quarter with four unanswered goals, and led 5-1 after one.
- Kate Gaven and Shine scored back-to-back goals in the first four minutes of the period to cut the Red Foxes' deficit in half.
- After Binghamton extended its lead to 6-3, Shine and Manger scored in a span of 46 seconds to get Marist within 6-5.
- The final 5:44 of the half was scoreless, as Binghamton took a 6-5 lead to the locker room.
- Manger scored with an assist from Kathryn Staker, which tied the score at six at the 8:02 mark.
- Binghamton got the final tally of the quarter, and led 7-6 after 45 minutes.
- Gaven's second goal tied the score at seven with 13:38 to go.
- Emma Blloshmi scored at the 7:37 mark to put Binghamton back in front, and it was the final goal of the contest.
- Shine scored a team-best three goals for the first hat trick of her collegiate career.
