EMMITSBURG, Md. – Collin Patrick and
Sean Mullan tallied a hat trick apiece to lead Marist men's lacrosse past MAAC foe Mount St. Mary's on the road, 13-12, on Saturday afternoon.
Patrick and Mullan led the offense with three goals apiece, while
Drew Anderson and
Steven Cain added two goals apiece in the victory.
With the win, Marist improved to 4-5 on the season and 2-1 in the MAAC, while Mount St. Mary's fell to 2-7 on the campaign and 1-2 in the MAAC with the win.

- The Red Foxes got off to a hot start, scoring three straight goals to open the contest from Collin Patrick, Sean Mullan, and Sam Ferrel.
- The Mount responded with three straight goals of their own to tie the contest at 3-3 with 7:11 left in the first
- Marist snapped the drought with an unassisted goal from Steven Cain to push ahead 4-3 in the frame
- Cain found Drew Anderson shortly after to extend the Red Foxes' lead to 5-3 with just under five minutes to go in the first
- The Red Foxes ultimately ended the first on a 3-0 run, closing with a Peter Murray goal
- Mullan, Anderson, and Cain scored the lone goals in the frame, giving Marist a 9-3 advantage going into the half
- The Mount used the first four minutes of the frame to outscore Marist 2-1 to trim their deficit to 10-5 Patrick found the back of the net with just over 10 minutes left in the frame to extend the lead back to six
- Trailing 11-5, the Mount rallied back-to-back goals to pull the score to 11-7 with 10:10 left in the fourth quarter
- Patrick and Mullan secured the hat tricks with a goal apiece late in the frame to extend the lead to 13-8
- The deficit proved to be too much for Mount St. Mary's, as Marist held on for the 13-12 victory
- Marist will be back in action on Wednesday, March 26, when the Red Foxes play host to MAAC foe Canisius
- The game is scheduled to air at 3 p.m. on ESPN+ from Tenney Stadium
